Experience
Frontend developer at UserZoom, September 2021–Today
Frontend developer on a seven-person, cross-functional Scrum squad responsible for developing and maintaining the part of the platform which enables UX researchers to create, configure and manage studies. We’re mainly concerned with analysis, splitting and delivery of new product features, but doing this also involves managing tech debt and balancing business priorities with sustainable development practices that enable us to keep evolving the system in the long term.
Some features I’ve had the opportunity to work on include the implementation of a re-designed study creation flow which simplifies choosing the right research approach, new study capabilities for mobile app testing, and part of an ongoing large-scale integration effort to offer powerful and diverse user research methods through a unified platform that can scale along with every research teams’ needs.
Technology stack:
React (Jest), Redux, styled components, Sass, CSS, GitHub, GitHub Actions, XSLT, jQuery, internal tools.
Product delivery for online retailer, April 2020–May 2021
Developer on a seven-person team for a Germany-based client, in which I supported the maintenance and evolution of a product in charge of providing personalised product recommendations to users. As one of the world’s biggest e-commerce companies, the main concern was developing strategies to seamlessly scale the system.
Ensuring data redundancy, the least amount of downtime and the most performant recommendation experience was paramount. Technically this involved (but wasn’t limited to) a change in product data persistence mechanisms and a refactor of the codebase to reduce complexity by moving towards a Clean Architecture approach, all while developing new product features.
Technology stack:
Java (Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, JUnit, Mockito), AWS, Docker, Terraform, bash, GoCD, GitHub, Kibana, Grafana, MongoDB Atlas, Redis, plain JavaScript micro frontend (Jest, Cypress), Togglz.
Product delivery for real estate platform, September 2019–March 20201
Junior developer on a five-person team for a leading German real estate company, maintaining a system that connects property sellers to real estate agents. The system interacts with the client’s existing client relationship management solution sending email notifications and billing invoices, and integrates a dashboard allowing agents to manage the number of potential customers they receive.
As part of the team, I worked on implementing features and user flows to increase the quality of customers acquired through the system, contributed in the migration process to the new brand identity for the company, and supported the onboarding of three new client developers during the product’s handover phase.
Technology stack:
JavaScript micro frontend (React, Redux, Testing Library, Selenium), CSS (Sass), Node.js lambdas running on AWS, Java (Spring Boot, JUnit, Mockito), Jenkins, Kibana, Datadog, PostgreSQL.
Graphic design for third sector organization, October 2017–March 2018
I was part of the communications team for a feminist organization group that carries out two of the biggest women’s rights marches in Paraguay. Within the team, my work included planning and preparing visual deliverables to publicize events, complement educational measures and engage public opinion on women’s issues.
Despite strong backlash and misinformation from anti-rights groups and conservative mainstream media, more than three thousand women took to the streets during the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in November 2017, and more than five thousand participated in the International Women’s Strike of 2018.
Check out some of the work on Behance.
Technology stack:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer.
Personal projects
Aha! A Brainstorming Game
A simple (but weirdly addictive) game developed while learning to code. I also did the illustrations.
Check out the GitHub repo (if you can stomach beginner code and the wrong abstractions).
Technology stack:
Plain JavaScript, HTML and CSS deployed through GitHub pages. Affinity Designer for graphics.
Frame App
An app for exploring the MET museum’s pieces through the smartphone. It allows identifying pieces of artwork merely through photographs by pulling data from the MET’s API and sending it to Google Vision. Developed pair programming with Giulia Granato.

Technology stack:
JavaScript (React, Node.js with Express), CSS (Grid, Milligram), MongoDB and Mongoose, Google Vision, deployed through Firebase.
